Tranquil Holidays in the Dordogne, for adults only. No Children.
Les Lavandes dates back some five hundred years and was once a lavender farm. Set in 5½ acres of beautiful parkland, and situated on a small hill within a valley, it enjoys panoramic views in all directions and is central to everything this wonderful region has to offer.
We are situated on the D703 Between Le Bugue (8kms) and Ste. Alvère (6kms). Bordeaux our nearest International Airport is 2 hours drive from here and Toulouse is around 2½ hours away. There are regular flights from Stanstead, England to Bergerac Airport, which is about 40 kms away. It is possible to fly from Paris to Bergerac which is 20 miles away approximately. The trains from Paris stop in Le Buisson (10 miles) and Le Bugue (5 miles) Both Ste. Alvère and Le Bugue offer Boulangeries, Pharmacies, Super Markets and numerous Cafes and excellent Restaurants.
There are three two bedroom (sleeping 4) houses, and a one bedroom studio which we completed last year. All of the terraces face different directions and are not overlooked by any of the other houses. Les Lavandes is set on a small hill in a valley so has beautiful views in all directions. We are situated in the middle of what is known locally as the ‘Golden Triangle’ which is Perigueux (the capital of the Dordogne), Bergerac and Sarlat. This area has most of ‘Sites Touristique’, Chateaux and Bastide Towns.
